Priceless:

How many times have you listened to repubs drone on about how business experience specifically prepares you to run a government?  And now you have it — here is a business leader (even one run out of their corporations on a rail, like Fiorina) who pulls open the curtain to note that running a business has nothing to do with running a government.

EDIT:  The Obama campaign responds:

If John McCain’s top economic advisor doesn’t think he can run a corporation, how on Earth can he run the largest economy in the world in the midst of a financial crisis? Apparently even the people who run his campaign agree that the economy is an issue John McCain doesn’t understand as well as he should.

  1. feces throwing monkey says:

Fiorina joins me in throwing feces at John McCain.

  2. delawaredem says:

LOL. I think the last 2 days ended this election.

  3. DPN says:

Agreed dd. I have always been an opponent of getting business involved in government . . . from my experience they really don’t know what they are doing.

  4. X Stryker says:

What’s the difference between Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney?

    Lipstick.

  6. A. Bundy says:

Have any of you heard/read the Senate transcript of what McCain said about the housing market, Fanny Mae, Freddy Mac and government oversight etc. back in 2005? My guess is no.

    I suggest you do so.

  7. G Rex says:

“What’s the difference between Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney?”

John McCain can’t fire a shotgun, due to the severe injuries he received while a POW in the Vietnam War.

(See, it works for damn near everything!)

  8. pandora says:

For years we’ve been told by Republicans that the government should be run more like a business. Now Fiorina says Palin couldn’t run a business.

Sheesh! Could you guys get your talking points straight!

  9. pandora says:

What’s the difference between Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney?

    Nothing.

  10. anon3 says:

Has anyone heard the story that Palin thought she could “remain in Alaska if elected VP”, does this twit have a brain in her head?

Give it another week with all the stories coming out about her, and McCain will be making that 3:00 am call….to Mitt Romney. McCain will need someone with a clue about the economic stuff. Mccains claim that the economy is fundamentally sound, a comment he made according to 22 times since January. Clueless and senile.

Palin thought she could “remain in Alaska if elected VP”

Maybe Alaska is Dick Cheney’s undisclosed location.

  12. Truth teller says:

look WHEN Bush came into office his VP was a Dick and State was run by Colon Powell. If we were smart we should have known that with a Bush a dick and a Colon we were going to get it shoved up or asses and so we did

  13. anon2 says:

Lets remember that George W. Bush bankrupted every company he ever ran! Was involved in “insider trading”, but because of Daddy Bush that was all covered up. If you look back in history every time the republicans held office we have gone into crisis mode. Raygun the guy they loved to tout, spent billions on the Space Game, responsible for Iran/Contra all the while Nancy R was consulting with star gazers and astronomers. Oh the jokes are bound to repeat.

  14. cassandra_m says:

What I love about this very Freudian slip is how Fiorina fairly easily discloses how fairly high level execs see themselves as a very different breed than politicians and they they are not interchangeable.

  15. anon2 says:

Truth teller…laughing my head off. Funny but sadly true.
Cheney’s undisclosed location is going to be Dubai so he can wallow in all the billions he and Halliburton stole from American taxpayers. Of course he will have Blackwater Goons guarding him, can’t take any chances you know.

  16. DPN says:

Senior level executives are, in general, stupid. Their view is very shortsighted going from Quarter to Quarter and maybe the fiscal year. Obviously, some business leaders are more visionary then the rest, but in the government, you need people to look down the road three years, five years, and ten years from now. Business, once again painting in broad strokes, does not look that far ahead.

  17. Stella Bluez says:

Carly Fiorina has now stated that she doesn’t think McCAIN could run a big company…..

Andrea Mitchell asked Fiorina about her earlier comment regarding Palin….& that is how she defended herself…..

She does better when she lies….

    p.s. I entered this on another thread in error…so I re-entered it here…oh well….

  18. pandora says:

    Don’t worry about it, Stella.

Mitt Romney just threw Fiorina under the bus on Hardball. Methinks you won’t be hearing from her for a while.

  19. Unstable Isotope says:

Carly Fiorina is so precious. She clearly believes that she is overqualified to be president. Carly is responsible for some of the good campaign gaffes. Wasn’t she the one who pointed out that some insurance pays for Viagra but not birth control pills and then McCain had that really uncomfortable moment with a reporter.
