He’s Always Tommy to Us

Filed in National by on September 17, 2008

Tommywonk, aka Tom Noyes, aka Thomas Noyes, has another article published by The Guardian.  In the article, “Thomas” compares and contrasts Sarah Palin’s “experience” with that of Joe Biden.  I remember when he was just a local guy, writing about folk festivals and windmills.  Now he is a global celebrity.

This latest piece has attracted some lively comments, most of which feature proper punctuation and spelling.

One of my favorites starts with, “Thomas Noyes is either a liar or a fool.”

I blame the educational system over there for using the proper Queen’s English.

    Stroppy bastards.

When is he going to write an article comparing Obama’s experience to that of McCain’s?

Or, better yet, when is he going to write an article comparing Obama’s experience to that of Palin’s? Now that would be a riveting read!

Well of course, Europeans LOVE Obama, so of course they’ll gladly have an American write an article for them that’s full of lavish praise for the guy.

For those curious about the editorial process, here’s how it works: I discuss an idea with the editor, write and then submit a piece, which is edited and posted in due course. I see no reason to include A. Bundy or other readers in the loop on editorial decisions.

If readers think a topic deserves to be written about, they should feel free to start their own blogs. If that’s too much work, readers can always post a response to this blog, TommyWonk or the Guardian.

I’m pretty busy writing what I think, and can’t be expected to find time to write what someone else thinks.
