The Legacy of Conservatism

Filed in National by on September 18, 2008

This is not funny.

Pressure is building on the pristine “AAA” rating of the United States after a federal bailout of American International Group Inc, the chairman of Standard & Poor’s sovereign ratings committee said on Wednesday.

This is what happens when the people entrusted to run your government play by Nigerian email scam rules.

That’s what happens when you elect people don’t know that Spain is in Europe.

  2. Unstable Isotope says:

Heh ftm. I was going to post about McCain’s latest gaffe. McCain doesn’t seem to know that Spain is in Europe, that its president is named Zapatero and that they are our ally.

Also, Palin was asked in a townhall what her specific skills in international affairs were and she replied “I’m confident.” In Republicanland, I guess that’s enough.

I’m scared to death of the possibility that McCain/Palin could come close to getting in the White House.

Hmmm… Has Bush put us on the path to socialism since the government now owns approx. half of the country’s mortages and the largest insurance company? We’re looking more and more like Cuba everyday.

    Republicans:

    It’s their philosophy, stupid.

  6. karmicjay says:

We need more tax cuts I tell ya!!!! 😉

  7. pandora says:

I think you’re on to something, kavips.

  8. feces throwing monkey's evil twin says:

Ha, freaking ha. All you Dumbo-crat losers will be sorry after the debates.

Barack Obama is unable to speak without a teleprompter. Without prepared text he will simply seize up and keel over, and I will laugh my evil monkey ass off.

  9. A. Bundy says:

“Freddie and Fannie used huge lobbying budgets and political contributions to keep regulators off their backs.

A group called the Center for Responsive Politics keeps track of which politicians get Fannie and Freddie political contributions. The top three U.S. senators getting big Fannie and Freddie political bucks were Democrats and No. 2 is Sen. Barack Obama.

Now remember, he’s only been in the Senate four years, but he still managed to grab the No. 2 spot ahead of John Kerry — decades in the Senate — and Chris Dodd, who is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.”

    People like this?

“Also, Palin was asked in a townhall what her specific skills in international affairs were.”

What are Obama’s specific skills in international affairs? Keep in mind he’s the Dems # 1, Palin is #2.

  11. Von Cracker says:

Bundy’s got nothing else, now does he?

About the Freddie and Fanny donations, he won’t tell you that the donations to Obama came from private, individual donors (120K), while only 6k came from PACs. Now compare that to the other Pols on the list (especially the GOPers) and notice that most of their donations came from the PACs.

So in Bundy’s dishonest, fucked-up head – since I gave Obama $100 and I also work for a well-known financial institution, Obama is now under the influence of Big Finance!!!

But what do you expect from a limited intelligence life form?

    Mike the Racist:

Palin just got her passport last year. She lied about going visiting Iraq. Her trip to Ireland was a refueling stop over. She has never met a foreign head of state. She thinks that looking at Russia is foreign policy experience, and she considers nuclear war with Russia over Georgia a possibility. (I assume she knew it wasn’t the state of Georgia, but you never know.) Apparently her boss thinks Spain is in our hemisphere and might be our enemy.

Obama was against the war, has been to Iraq multiple times, visited many heads of state, and is well-versed in discussing foreign policy.

Obama will restore our military and the international moral authority of the United States. Mcsame/palin will continue to destroy both.

Don’t you have some gun magazines to go drool on?

  13. mike w. says:

Why exactlly would you expect the GOVERNOR OF ALASKA to have done exstensive travel abroad and met with foreign heads of state?

  14. anonone says:

    Mike the Racist:

Governors actually try to attract business and tourism from other countries to their states. Even “do nothing” Minner has done that.

Is that all you got? Are you over 13?

  15. cassandra_m says:

Modern VP picks do have foreign policy experience — it is part of the sell of being trusted to be a heartbeat away, and all of that.

The one contemporary VP pick without foreign policy experience was Spiro Agnew.

    Draw your own conclusions.
