Sorry for the delay. All is well.
Let it be known, that this is Delaware’s first live blogged baby! DAMN STRAIGHT!
DelLib has another first.
Dominic Viti Born 3:20 Am 10-4-2008. Boy oh boy what a process. Mrs. Hotviti was struggling big time but man, when she socked me in the stomach I knew it was time for me to shut up. Mrs. Hotviti got a little upset with me around midnight when I was watching the Red Sox win the game in the top of the 9th. WOW, what a game. I wasn’t sure how I could top that one.
Well, As I had said earlier it was a busy night for the nurses and doctors on call. There were 3 or 4 women giving birth at about the same time. The Nurse were doing their best to keep everything calm. Mrs. Hotviti was pushing hard and finally got her rythm. Well, one problem, there WAS NO DOCTOR AROUND. Dr. Tildenburton was in the OR performing a C-section. OMG! The nurse was pushing on Dom’s head to sort of hold him there.
One problem with holding a head the size of a grapefruit in a tube the diameter of a a baseball is, well, conehead. OI VEY! So, the nurse said the hell with it and pulled the baby out! There he came. He didn’t need no stinking doctor! Hell with that. NURSES ROCK. I have said it before and I will say it again, we all know who does the work in the hospital. This morning was proof of that.
And to boot, the nurse had just come on shift at 3am, and Dom came out at 3:20! What a night. I’m on about 30 minutes of sleep and now comes the parade of family to see Delaware’s first Live Blog Baby!
