Good Economic News On The Horizon

As the Dow dips below 9,000 for the first time since 2003, I wanted to give you all a glass half full scenario. Once the Dow levels off, we’ll begin to cheer it on as it climbs above 10,000. Remember how much fun that was when the Dow surpassed 10,000. We get to live it again.

    I guess in my simplistic way I think the faster we get to the bottom the faster we can climb out of the hole.

    UI is right. I’m resisting the impulse of looking among the dead bodies of stocks right now, but once there is an inkling of stability, we (wife and I) may take some of what’s left of savings and throw it over that way and get in as close to bottom as possible. Hopefully, it won’t be thrown away instead!

    I’m thinking the same thing. I don’t even think I really need bottom. I just need to buy some stocks cheap, outright and hold on to them long enough.

    Mr. Pandora has been cautiously buying for the last week. We are fortunate to be at an age where we are in the market for the long run. I feel very badly for seniors, on a fixed income, who rely on their investments to maintain their quality of life.
