Late Nite Oddity – KWS a Disaster Waiting to Happen

So says an anon tippster…

I have known Karen Weldin Stewart for nearly 15 years. Someone urgently needs to investigate her and the experience she lied about for her run for Insurance Commissioner. She is a lazy, incompetent, undereducated, overly ambitious, dishonest, and corrupt individual who needs to be exposed BEFORE the election so she doesn’t embarrass Delaware Democrats, which she surely will if she is elected. If anyone wonders about proof, demand she produce references and income tax returns. And how much more proof could you need after her abysmal performace in the recent debate which exposed her lack of brains (no surprise to me). She’s been unemployed or working as a store clerk for most of the last 10 years. She doesn’t own a business and never has (her supposed consultancy “Weldin Group” is only a name). She can only speak from prepared scripts, and she can’t write, either. Wake up before it’s too late. This woman’s dubious charm has brough t her to where she is, but she shouldn’t be allowed to go a single step further.

  1. Jerry says:

Karen has an opportunity to debunk some of these comments by doing what the article says and producing references. She has to respond to the substantive accusations thrown at her or she will fall flat in this election.

  2. Paul says:

No one needs to respond to anon.

We have a right to meet our accusers.

We are only 25 days from voting, where was anon for the last few YEARS? That Karen has been campaigning?

  3. Sedgwick says:

    Mostly, she’s an idiot.

  4. Jerry says:

Maybe no one has to respond to an anon, but she does have to make her case to voters who may be undecided. For a position as technical as Insurance Commissioner, experience is kind of relevant.

  5. John Tobin says:

Is this Delaware’s version of anonymous swiftboating? Character assasination without having to identify oneself ?
I am not here to justify Karen Weldin Stewart’s resume, but I do remember that four years ago she was in a pretty rigourous Democratic primary campaign with Matt Denn and Matt’s campaign challenged her pretty strongly ,but kept it on a professional level without the subjective personal attacks (“lazy ,incompetent”)you have chosen to post here.
I find humorous the attack that she is overly ambitious. A major part of politics is self-promotion. It is quite possible that every person on the ballot may be overly ambitious! They would not run if they were not willing to self-promote.

  6. Unstable Isotope says:

I’m very wary of her after hearing about her debate performance. Is there another debate scheduled? I would like to hear her myself.

  7. jason330 says:

John. I respect that. However I would not have posted it is it did not conform to my own hazy thoughts about Ms. Weldin Stewart.

I met her twice when she was running for Nat. Committee person. I was unimpressed and those meetings keep seeping into my blogging.

I guess I should work it all out in a longer post sometime.

  8. Nancy Willing says:

This is a disgusting POS. As low as it gets.
I hope to see the naysayers come to Newark next weekend to see her debate.

  9. Al Mascitti says:

As low as it gets? Surely you jest.

  10. jason330 says:

I guess my little rationalization didn’t carry much weight for Nancy.

  11. John Tobin says:

    Jason,
It is reasonable to judge candidates by impressions and if people think she is not the best candidate I have no problem with that. The quote from “anon tippster”just seemed unnecessarily personal. If people got to know every candidate personally and never voted for people they did not like on a personal level, the democracy would have folded a long time ago.
    Al Mascitti,
Truer words were never spoken. It could get plenty lower.I lived in New Jersey for two election cycles and worked in Philadephia for 3 election cycles and a clean election in both is one with no indictments

  12. Disbelief says:

Yeah, but won’t Harris McDowell get a completely controlled puppet in charge of our insurance if he can get KWS in office? You all don’t think that could mean anything but good for us, do you?

  13. Jerophonic says:

Jason, I’m curious: when you print anonymous attacks like this, do you know who the poster is, or are you just using as a standard whether the post conforms to your own “hazy thoughts”?
Calling someone corrupt, dishonest and a liar, without proof, is garden variety libel, not just a subjective opinion. Seems like it calls for more vetting than “I guess I should work it all out in a longer post sometime.” As mentioned above, Ms. Stewart’s been through two primaries where her opponents presumably did some opposition research on her. How do you know this isn’t part of a typical Republican campaign by whisper and innuendo?

Every time I think the local blogs are rising above the delawareonline.com comments, you print something like this.

  14. jason330 says:

Get your own blog if you don’t like it.

  15. Jason stands behind his record of outing the true maternity of Trig Palin!

  16. jason330 says:

Thank you for the vote of confidence Troll. And that reminds me…what is Sarah Palin hiding?

  17. Jerophonic says:

“Get your own blog if you don’t like it.”

Gee, I worked hard on that post; I thought I’d get a more substantive reponse.

  18. Unstable Isotope – John Brady, Tom Savage, and Karen Weldin Stewart were recently on the radio at WDEL. There is a link to the video on John Brady’s website at http://www.bigguyforde.com – look under AUDIO AND VIDEO. I will also post video of another recent Candidates Forum within the next few days on his website.
