Ramone Volunteer Hijinx
NJ Letters section…
I live in Drummond Hill in the 21st Representative District where Democrat Patricia Creedon and Republican Mike Ramone are contending for a seat in the Delaware House.
I’ve put up some Creedon signs around the neighborhood and at least three times found them tampered with. This is no biggie and it’s not normally worthy of comment unless signs are stolen outright.
We also have a Creedon sign in the front yard which no doubt explains what we found this morning. We found five or six Ramone campaign flyers stuffed into the front door screen and two more neatly placed in a pair of muddy running shoes that had been left on the front porch.
While it’s rude to come onto our front porch and dump this stuff, rudeness is not normally worthy of a letter to the editor. However, a more paranoid couple might regard it as harassment or even an attempt to intimidate and think, “Gee, if I leave the sign up maybe a rock will come through the window next time.”
The next time Ramone workers come down the block and are troubled by our Creedon sign, rather than dump more flyers on the front porch, I invite them to knock on the door and we can discuss the election issues face to face.

Epilogue: The letter writer cc’d Ramone and Creedon and before you could say “Republican dirty tricks” Ramone showed up at the letter writer’s house to apologize. The writer letter accepted the apology and tried to contact the NJ to have the letter pulled, but it was too late. The letter writer is still voting for Creedon.
It’s a classy move by Ramone but leaving a bunch of Ramone flyers seems weird. Flyers aren’t free so why would you waste them on someone who’s voting for the opponent?
Wow, Jason!
Your dirty sign tricks from the Ennis race have caught on in Wilmington. Way to show them how to do it bumblef.ck style!
Ramone is a class act.
Great video!
