Wow, this was a long interview. With so little time left in the campaign, McCain is absolutely leaving no stone unturned in order to become the Harry Truman of our generation. Ain’t going to happen. I will say this, McCain did man up and say, “I screwed up.” The question I have is did he feel he screwed up because of the backlash or that he lied?
Letterman does go after McCain on his attack ads, the angry crowds and Sarah Palin. Worth a watch.
Why are the really tough questions coming from Letterman and The View?
McCain now seems at peace with the knowledge he is going to lose. Maybe now he can put out the word to his people to stop the smears, and spend the rest of the campaign as a Happy Warrior.
Or he could keep up the attacks, and end his long career by being the leader of a racist mob.
