I Just Love Homemade Signs.

Filed in Delaware by on October 27, 2008

It is rumored that Delaware’s own Donviti has a homemade sign in his front yard, stating his rather conventional political opinions.

Well here are some other homemade signs in Bear, Delaware:

We have received a tip that these signs are on the property of real estate agent Clarke V. Jester.   So the next time you go to buy or sell a home, it is nice to know his racist politics.  Hey, anyone can express their political opinions.  It is a free country, and if you want to sound like a racist idiot, go for it.  But I wonder if Prudential Fox & Roach would be happy with this?

What are the craziest homemade signs you have seen out there?

I pass this nutbag’s property fairly often. The first sign I saw looked like a halloween themed tombstone with “McCain/Palin” scrawled on it.

  2. delawaredem says:

    How appropriate.

  3. anon says:

The frames for those racist Obama signs look like they held a Prudential “Open House” sign last Sunday.

  4. delawaredem says:

    They most likely did.

  5. Unstable Isotope says:

It’s funny that the who’s 50% Irish is right beside the McCain/Palin sign. Is he saying that about McCain and/or Palin? Oh, the law of unintended consequences.

  6. pandora says:

Disgusting and stoopid. Quite the professional businessman. I’d never hire him. In fact, I bet Prudential Fox & Roach would happily un-hire him.

  7. delawaredem says:

    UI….

I know. Does the racist Clive Jester also believe being Irish means you are inferior as well? Or is Obama really 50% Irish? I don’t know about that, since the rest of the sign is a lie. Obama is 50% Kenyan, and 50% Dunham (whatever the Dunhams are).

  8. Unstable Isotope says:

    LOL@dd! 50% Dunham!

Yes, the Arab thing is something pushed by Rush Limbaugh. I’m now hearing that the racist/antisemite Andy Martin, who inexplicably appears on TV sometimes, is now pushing the meme that Obama is not in fact Muslim but is the son of a civil rights leader Frank Marshall Davis.

Doesn’t this smear seem really stupid? Because unless you were actually at the baby-making event how would you know this? And this appeared on CNN!

  9. It Gets better says:

Those are Prudential real estate signs that he painted over, by the way. Do a google image search on the shape of Prudential signs.

He used company property to make this particular statement.

    Equal Housing Opportunity my arse.

    *PROTACK for GOVERNOR*

    *whistle* sanity-check….

Not to be all parental, but are you all sure you want to be getting this detailed about a private citizen? Obviously, a little Google homework could tell us stuff that is here, but to post it, does that put you in a little bit of a danger zone? DD, you probably could answer that question better than most here.

BTW, I can’t see the pics (work blocks them), but from what I read, they are nothing better than a pathetic joke and I likely would condemn them as well (provided I could see them).

  12. anon says:

Yeah, posting the name and his employer was OK with me, considering the content and provenance of the signs. But the rest of the personal info is over the top.

  13. delawaredem says:

Yeah, I have deleted comments concerning his personal information, just for his privacy concerns. With respect to defamation, Mr. Jester publicized his political views for all to see. So there is no problem with us discussing these signs.

Absolutely true, he hopped right into the fray. But the exact address published here of his private home…that was the gray area. Glad to see we agreed on something! 😀

  15. It Gets better says:

To be clear, the relevant torts would be defamation, publication of private information, or false light publicity.

Defamation and false light are out, since those are the signs in his yard.

Publication of private information is interesting, since his mailbox, also in the yard, prominently has his name on it, and he obviously wants the widest audience he can get for his signs. As a matter of fact, we are helping more people see them than would otherwise do so.

Unless of course he leaves them up into November and that guy with the crazy Christmas light display attracts a lot of traffic heading down from the Wawa on Route 40 near Lowes.

    “It Gets Better”–

I am erring on the side of caution here. You are correct as to the causes of action implicated, and you are correct as to Defamation and False Light. The gray area is publication of private information. There are good arguments on both sides as to whether some of the comments crossed the line, and you just presented one side of the argument.

  17. RSmitty says:

I used a weasel word! I said GRAY-area (OK, two words). I used the weasel word on purpose! Wow, I just qualified myself to be on the NCCo Council!

  18. Von Cracker says:

Q: Who’s old and bitter because the world’s past him by?

    A: That guy!

I bet he goes to Indochina for pre-pubescent sex junkets….because misplaced anger (those signs) is a tell-tale indicator that this fella’s hiding something hideous and shameful.

  19. Plebe says:

    Hahah…You guys are idiots.

  20. Truth Teller says:

Is this the same Clark Jester that was a Delaware State Trooper???????????????

  21. Mark H says:

I don’t know, but he may be related to a Court Jester 🙂

  22. Duffy says:

You are missing the upside here. Better that he makes his disgusting views known than to hide them. Easier to deal with someone who is open about their hatred.

  23. It Gets better says:

Absolutely. This election has been one big exercise in “smoking them out of their holes”.

Now you got me crying again. I’ll tell you what, with the market the way it is, I’m telling everyone to throw every dollar they have into Kimberly Clark (the makers of Kleenex).
