A friend of mine from Daily Kos posted this video of the celebration outside the White House last night. He says “it was like we overthrew a dictator.”

The whole world is celebrating Obama’s win. Maybe now the US can get back our image in the world. Obama has his hands full dealing with all the people around the world celebrating with us…aint it grand.
Our image has been instantaneously repaired already.
We did overthrow a leader. I won’t go so far as to say a dictator, but this is the best form of overthrow yet devised.
I hope George had the echoes of that rendition of the national anthem ringing in his ears as he fell asleep last night.
I was extremely happy Tues. night, but the real party for me will be on Jan. 20! Street party in Wilmington?

My daughter was at that gathering outside the White House on Tuesday night, and she said it was one of the most moving experiences of her life. She said the crowd was upbeat, happy, positive – truly joyous. What a great day for America!
I can’t tell you how many people I talked to yesterday who felt incredibly moved by Obama’s win, especially my African-American colleagues.
I watched this video about half a dozen times already.
I am so moved by this election. It’s been such a long time since we had the chance to be so excited about a new President. Am I dreaming?
