Big Send Off For Joe ?
WDEL reported this morning that Barack Obama will be taking the train from Philly to DC and picking up Joe BIden along the way in Wilmington.
Does that mean that there is going to be some kind of big send off with speechifying and Joe telling everyone that the title of Delawarean is the one that will always be closest to his heart?
This just gives me the shivers–and I do mean that in a nostalgic kind of way. The Bobby Kennedy train, and that song….Nemski please… Martin and John. Now those were the days, when being a Democrat meant you did something–not just write or scam/take something.

Ooh – I wonder, will people be allowed on the platform and such? I will sooo be there with my 5yo daughter, blowing kisses and waving flags and poster boards.

Obama to travel through Wilmington

President-elect Barack Obama will travel through Wilmington on his way to his inaugural celebration.
Obama and his family will start their daylong journey with an event in Philadelphia on January 17th before boarding the train and picking up Vice President-elect Joe Biden and his family in Wilmington. The president-elect and his group then will make a stop in Baltimore before making their way to Washington. Obama will take office Jan. 20.

Have you ever been in the Amtrak train shops in New Castle County? The thing’s likely to break down!
I wonder if Mr Biden will have resigned from the Senate by then?
