WTF is Biden Thinking?

Filed in National by on January 6, 2009

During today’s swearing in ceremony from the floor of the U.S. Senate, there will be one man who really doesn’t need the job. Vice President-elect Joe Biden, having been reelected to his seventh term as the Senator from Delaware, will be sworn in with the rest of the incoming class. And with the 111th Congress planning to move swiftly on the economic stimulus bill…

His hand-picked replacement could not be ready to vote for the package?

WTF Joe? You needed another free trip to India?

Yeah, I think it’s strange too. Why didn’t he immediately resign. Does he want to vote on Obama’s cabinet?

Well, one thing it does is deny his replacement seniority; his replacement will now be the low man in the Senate, depending upon the Ronald Burris kerfuffle..

This raises a serious question for me: Do the Bidens really need the money that badly? Other than that, I can’t think of why he’d be doing this.

Burris and Franken may have lower seniority.
