Filed in National by on January 8, 2009

Still photos shot by astronaut Don Pettit were made into a very cool video sequence of the what the aurora looks like from the International Space Station:

Dr. Pettit is also blogging his experiences at the NYT (which I didn’t know until now!). Yes, this isn’t political, but it is fun to look at.

Jason, are you baiting me? 🙂

Actually the best thing about science is as it gets better the curtain on the wizard of “god” gets pulled back further and further. Even though there are things we’ll probably never know the likelihood of god’s existence gets smaller and smaller and smaller…

Exactly. Like where does meat come from & how do fish breathe? Some things man is not meant to know.

I take these unsolvable mysteries to mean that the God wants us to tie little boxes containing peices of paper to our heads and keep on the lookout for devils and demons.

    Now that’s funny.
