Do you find it surprising that the GOP is now, suddenly, looking for accountability?

Unfortunately, no, I don’t. If those screaming for it were all freshman congress-people, then I might not have such an urge to vomit; however, most of them are the very same ones that drove the economy-truck right into this freaking tar pit. We sunk slow, but good luck getting us out.

Oh, BTW, these yahoos still seem to lack their own accountability.

  2. Unstable Isotope says:

    No, not at all.

Bipartisanship, accountability and fiscal conservatism are the keywords when Democrats are in charge.

  3. Reis says:

So you admit Democrats were not in charge until today?

  4. Mike Protack says:

Will there be accountability when unemployment goes over 8.5% or when the budget is in the hole by over a trillion or when Obama does nothing of substance in Afghanistan or when the National Debt goes up over 50% under Obama.

What about accountability for the Treasury Designee? In charge of the IRS but can’t pay his taxes?

  5. Von Cracker says:

What would you call the paid fines levied by the IRS, Mike?

    dimwit.

I think he is current with the IRS, not? It is damned easy to be “late” with taxes, especially when there is some dispute or ambiguity involved. I think Republicans are the first ones to say taxes are too complicated. WTF is the problem, as long as he’s paid up?

I love it when Mike P. looks into his crystal ball! And unemployment, the deficit and debt are up with nothing to show for it. Afghanistan is a mess, so is Iraq. What is this, Mike? A synopsis of Bush’s greatest hits? Nice try at shifting accountability.

  8. Sharon says:

Oh, for crying out loud. Geithner didn’t pay taxes for freakin’ years and you guys are excusing it. All the talk about ethical administration is over before Obama even swears in. Sheesh.

What is it with Democrats not paying the taxes on their help?
