I just heard on WIP that Donovan McNabb blamed the Arizona loss on the defense in an interview.

It wasn’t a recent interview. It was from his rambling post NFC championship game interview and it is being discussed now because McNabb wants another Ga-zillion dollar contract extension.
Not enough was made of McNabb’s rambling comment about how frustrated he was watching on the sideline while Kurt Warner methodically drove the Cardinals down the field for the winning score. McNabb said the primary goal of every defense is to keep his offense off the field, and he just felt so helpless watching the season go down the drain.
When I played that sound bite for Jeremiah Trotter on my WIP radio show, the former linebacker bristled.
“Well, he kind of threw the defense under the bus with that statement,” Trotter said. “Donovan had his opportunities, too.”
