The title of the bill… just because Gallup got it wrong doesn’t mean you have to.
Calling it a Stimulus is wrong, because the bill includes huge amounts of “relief” funding that is not really stimulus.
The mislabeling of the whole bill as “stimulus” has led directly to the Republican talking point about how each job created costs eight quintillion dollars.
Facts are not a strong point at this site but here goes.
The short term mood of the country or rigged polls have never been a factor to me nor have I said the country is against the so called stimulus bill.
I simply point out the bill will not do what it proposes to do and it will make the country worse off. Higher debt, higher taxes and higher inflation are on the way.
To support this bill you have to believe that a centrally directed economic formula will work when it never has and you have to believe the government is more efficient than business owners and individuals with money.
Again read the Economist;
‘The Stimulus plan has obvious flaws. Too much of the boost to demand is backloaded to 2010 and beyond. The compromise bill is larded with spending determined more by Democrat lawmakers than by the efficiency with which the economy will be boosted.’
Such a fucking liar. You directly said the country is against the stimulus bill.
That was a lie.
I called you out on it, showing you that the country does support the stimulus bill, and since Republican obstruction began, that support has only increased. And now you are lying about your lie.
You can oppose the stimulus all you want. You have a lot of company with your “hoping-for-failure” Republican Party. But you will not lie here.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/ Protack is right. Read the numbers, 37 to 43% support for the package. 62% of voters want more tax cuts. A majority believe that it will make the economy worse. Democrats lost their edge on trust in dealing with the economy.
Mike Protack is on a one man mission to spam the DE Blogosphere. It’s getting old, fast.
Dude, you need to fix this post.
What’s wrong with it?
