This is just hilarious.
Delaware blogger Mike Matthews said he was going to try to lose 100 pounds before Aug. 6.
The idea started, Matthews wrote, to try to win the affection of failed U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell. But after announcing his plan, he decided to work to benefit the Food Bank of Delaware in food donations and contributions from supporters.
LOL. “Win the affection of” is now the greatest euphemism for what Matthews really wants to do to, or with, O’Donnell. Seriously though, it is great that both Matthews’ and Brian Shields’ efforts to lose weight for charity is being covered in the News Journal.
In the spirit of weight loss and charity, Sussex County blogger Brian Shields announced Friday he’s going to participate, calling on other residents and bloggers to join in. Shields, who runs The Mourning Constitution, is looking for supporters for his “Losing Fat for Food” campaign.
“The main idea so far is to get people to pledge food donations pound for pound, or a dollar per pound,” he wrote.
