Filed in National by on February 24, 2009

I have first hand factual knowledge that Bank of America employees in Delaware are receiving bonuses. Employees down to the Assistant Vice President Level are receiving several thousands dollars for their hard work in 2008.

How many? Is it just top performers, or is it the majority of employees?

    Yeah capitalism!

  5. x,

    isn’t one person too many?

if it is happening all the way down to that level, then they were/are still paying out Bonuses to each level up and still have a pool of money they are paying all employees from

so… in the Orange Tree Condo community… these guys are…… the ass hole old guy who lives in the top floor penthouse who … lets his dog piss on the orange tree even though it is bad for the tree, because thats what he has always done and his dog might piss on his carpet if he doesn’t let it go on the tree….yes/no?

  7. Political Observer says:

If this is not merit based (and who showed any real merit in this debacle?) then they STILL don’t get it. The thought of nationalization leaves a horrible taste in my mouth, but the thought of these folks keeping at it makes that crap taste like honey.

    Two comments:

    1. Their bonus should be that they still have a job
    2. Instead of giving out bonuses and laying people off, maybe they should think about keeping people on

I also have personal knowledge of a Bank of America employee receiving a bonus, and I guarantee that it was deserved.

If you don’t know someone who works there you’ll have a tough time understanding how stressful it is right now.

Do you really believe no one at that company is doing a good job?

And to nemski: A bonus to a good employee is cheaper than keeping on an underperformer.

Lots of people at other companies deserve bonuses and aren’t getting them this year.
