Hannity Poll Asks “Which Type of Revolution Appeals?”

Just seen on Countdown.

A Hannity discussion board poster  offers this food for thought:

There’s a lot of talk on this board about armed revolt. I am curious what form of such a revolt the revolutionaries would prefer. I can see a few scenarios:

1. Military Coup – The military deposes the government and declares itself in charge. A junta rules until democracy can be restored, similar to what happened in Pakistan.

2. Armed Rebellion – The fed up civilian population attacks their enemies forcibly. They take to the streets, or wherever they need to go, to ultimately depose the government and install one that follows their own ideals.

3. War for secession – Individual states try to secede and perhaps ultimately must arm to do it.

QOTE

When is the last time you went to church and heard the Priest, Reverend, Preacher or whatever denounce a war?

Funny haha

I sort of realized it was Lent when I saw my Dad yesterday and his ashed forehead. I haven’t set foot in a church in quite a while and when I do it will only be out of respect for a friends wedding or a familial type event. I will have nothing to do with supporting a faith rife with pedophiles and their enablers, that doesn’t see women as equal and doesn’t support gay marriage but is fine with giving away anullments for a small fee.

But I digress…

So we went to lunch and he said that we should just kill them all. Then he said we should take the children away from “those people” (meaning the people in Afghanistan) “That would solve the problem, They are nothing but a bunch of maniacs”

So, as a person that goes to church every Sunday even when he leaves the country I find it nothing short of amusing that the guy sitting across from me pretty much gave the opposite of what that guy about to hang from the cross in a few weeks taught.

Oh? why is this funny? Because he ain’t the only “sheep” to want to “kill em all” then go to Church and pray to St. Anthony when he can’t find his keys…

Indian River Power Plant sued

VIA WDEL – By Carl Kanefsky

A grassroots environmental group files suit against the owners of the Indian River Power Plant for thousands of violations of the Clean Air Act.

Citizens for Clean Power filed the suit for more than 6,300 violations from 2004 through 2008.

Spokesperson Patricia Gearity says without court intervention and meaningful penalties, the violations are likely to continue. Audio Here

Under the Clean Air Act, each of the violations could carry a maximum civil penalty of $32,000.

Calls made to NRG, the company that owns the plant, have not been returned

Clearly $32k is nothing to NRG – but presumably part of the civil penalties would be include something that would prevent them from continuing to pollute SC.

Steele’s New Hip Hop GOP in Action

Grab the popcorn, this just gets better and better.

SLIWA: Now, using a little bit of that street terminology, are you giving him any Slum love, Michael?

STEELE: (laughter)

SLIWA: Because he is — when guys look at him and young women look at him — they say oh, that’s the slumdog millionaire, governor. So, give me some slum love.

STEELE: I love it. (inaudible) … some slum love out to my buddy. Gov. Bobby Jindal is doing a friggin’ awesome job in his state. He’s really turned around on some core principles — like hey, government ought not be corrupt. The good stuff … the easy stuff.

*wince*

Meanwhile, two days after the speech, Bobby Jindal still isn’t available for comment which is even sadder.

AG Holder Puts A Stop to Medical Marijuana Raids

From a press conference today:

Today came word that newly installed U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder would stop the practice established by the Bush administration of raiding legally licensed medical marijuana dispensaries.

The Drug Enforcement Agency will now cease the raids that have continued, according to reports, even after Bush left office. Holder said Obama’s campaign promise to stop the raids is “now American policy.”

The Huffington Post has more. And you can watch the whole press conference on CSPAN.

It is small, but good news nonetheless and delivers on an Obama campaign promise to stop these raids.

Playing God

This is going to anger Ms. Christine O’Donnell. She predicted the havoc that science was going to unleash by tampering around with man’s God given genetic blessedness.

Rush Demands Wingnuts Love “Bobby”

obey

The Republican leadership is angry that so many conservatives have been so candidly repulsed by Jindahl’s post address prat fall.

Because if you think people on our side, I’m talking to you, those of you who think Jindal was horrible, in fact, I don’t want to hear from you ever again if you think that what Bobby Jindal said was bad or what he said was wrong or not said well, because, folks, style is not going to take our country back.

Rush is laying down the law. All you wingnuts lie and say Bobby was good or else.

Wingnut media cricle jerk

So I guess wingnuts like Malkin are trying to get loony birds and nut bags to protest the economic recovery because …oh I don’t know what motivates these people…anyway… this is funny.

Pajamas Media has started running online ads (spotted on conservative blog Hot Air today), simultaneously encouraging readers to organize their own tea parties and promoting Pajamas Media’s coverage of them. “The Pajamas TV team including Michelle Malkin, Glenn Reynolds, and Joe Wurzelbacher (aka Joe the Plumber) – are mobilized to help cover this new and evolving revolution,” Pajamas’ online promotion page reads. The model appears to be that the promise of coverage (partly) motivates the protest, which motivates the coverage.

Somebody PLEASE tell me when Hube or Burris holds one of these coven meetings. It would be too hilarious to miss.
