Steele’s New Hip Hop GOP in Action
Grab the popcorn, this just gets better and better.
SLIWA: Now, using a little bit of that street terminology, are you giving him any Slum love, Michael?
STEELE: (laughter)
SLIWA: Because he is — when guys look at him and young women look at him — they say oh, that’s the slumdog millionaire, governor. So, give me some slum love.
STEELE: I love it. (inaudible) … some slum love out to my buddy. Gov. Bobby Jindal is doing a friggin’ awesome job in his state. He’s really turned around on some core principles — like hey, government ought not be corrupt. The good stuff … the easy stuff.
*wince*
Meanwhile, two days after the speech, Bobby Jindal still isn’t available for comment which is even sadder.

Dyn-o-MITE!!!
you couldn’t juxtapose two different blacks in a million years if you had too.
Being a soul brother I can honestly say, one of these mofo’s is a jive turkey
Slum love.
*shakes head ruefully*
Maybe listening to his own speeech left even Bobby Jindal speechless…
one could only hope
LOL Suzanne. If I were Jindal, I wouldn’t want to talk to anyone now, especially the person who sold him on the idea of doing the Republican response.
Wow. I had no idea that Curtis Sliwa was a wingnut.
But this stuff with Steele is officially getting painful. Would not surprise me if St. Ronnie were to rise up from his grave to knock some conservative heads at this point.
I knew Sliwa was a wingnut. That is really the basis of the whole Guardian Angels thing. Who, but a wingnut, would start a para-military organization (replete with uniforms).
Or these tactics:
Although he emphasized that the conservative movement must become a revolution and transform America, he conceded that the party had made mistakes: “We know the past, we know we did wrong. My bad. But we go forward in appreciation of the values that brought us to this point.”
According to CNN, Steele was then praised by Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.
As Steele concluded his remarks, Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann — the event’s moderator — told Steele he was “da man.”
“Michael Steele! You be da man! You be da man,” she said.
My bad? You be da man? I can’t take much more of this. I’m becoming embarrassed for them.
How long before Steele completely morphs into Katt Williams and starts dropping the N word… Maybe he can start a rap tour with Alan Keyes.
Seriously… this is very sad, but for me, it is great. The GOP find themselves in a hole… and they keep digging and digging and digging.
With the exception of this state. I heard someone started a nifty new website to rebuild the DE GOP. 🙂
It is like watching a “jump the shark” episode of The Cosby Show.
I’ve already committed to buying a round of drinks the first time Steele says fiddy!
Hey, I think it means the Republicans are advancing. Their thinking has been stuck in the Gilded Age and the 1950s for a long time. Welcome to the 80s Republicans!
