From the blogoshphere.
Idaho’s the unequicovocal notion writes, “Could you imagine the fit that the GOP would be in if Democrats took Jon Stewart as seriously as they take Rush?” Iowa Liberal is a little more snarky, “So much for that hip hop attitude” and Blue Virginia posts Gov. Kaine’s statement:
However, Chairman Steele’s reversal this evening and his apology to Limbaugh proves the unfortunate point that Limbaugh is the leading force behind the Republican Party, its politics and its obstruction of President Obama’s agenda in Washington.
New Mexico FBIHOP writes about the problem the GOP will have with Limbaugh as its leader:
He has no appeal outside the base. He has no crossover appeal, he scares off all but the most hardcore of the base. The kind that would fear what any Democrat wants to do, let alone a progressive like Obama.
Blue Fields of Indiana posts:
And Steele outright admits that Limbaugh’s in control. The Republican party has completely abandoned the idea of a big tent, and instead opted for a circus tent.
Tennessee’s Southern Beale sums it up nicely:
Any doubts about who is in charge of the Republican Party have just been erased. Hint: it’s not the black guy who just groveled before the bloated white bigot who once told an African American caller to “take that bone out of your nose.”
And Dave Letterman skewer’s Limbaugh last night.
