As a self proclaimed drunken frat boy from February 1993 till May 1996 I can say this analogy is categorically true. But Republicans only seem to give lip service to fiscal restraint when the President has a D next to his name. Kind of like how I exhibited self control when the only birds left at the late night were plump and homely. It’s situational. To paraphrase Dick Cheney, “deficits don’t matter”.
