Guns . . .
Love ’em! And this should warm the cockles of the Radical Right’s heart (if they have one), Europe is becoming more like us.

proof that gun control is a red herring when it comes to violent crime.
Europe has insane gun control laws, but they don’t understand that it has nothing to do with violence. We don’t need to be the same.
What disturbs me is that you don’t spend one moment morning the victims. You rush to make a political point almost before the bodies cool off. Then don’t even tip a hat to the victims of these criminals.
Let me say. Our thoughts are with the families.
I don’t like guns and if you want a gun, it should be a flintlock as our founding fathers intended. To quote Homer Simpson, “David can kiss my hairy, yellow butt!”
That’s because nemski really doesn’t care about the victims. This is a political point.
You know I don’t read your moronic blog and I hate reading your asinine comments, so to quote Jason 330, “I said, Good Day!”
Game, Set, Match.
And Sharon, you’re wrong. Anti-Fredom, Pro-Ignorance people deeply care about victims of gun crime, because without them their wrong-headed agenda would go nowhere.
They want them defenseless and dead, as many as they can muster so they can use their deaths to push for laws to allow more to die.
To do anything else would be counter-productive!
As would actually discussing the issue.
No, it’s much better to pat yourself on the back about your deep, deep empathy for the victims, who really don’t give a shit whether you mourn them or not.
The problem isn’t guns. It’s the people who defend them, no matter the carnage, who are the problem.
And please, let’s not pretend you want to “discuss” anything. Your minds, small as they are, are not open.
Don’t like me pretending to know what you think? Then stop pretending you know what we think.
“And please, let’s not pretend you want to “discuss” anything. Your minds, small as they are, are not open.”
All your comment, lots of names called, no factual arguments made.
Kinda ironic. Good for a laugh, not much else.
Mouth open, mind closed. Good for you!
Oh and in case it wasn’t obvious, I have my blog linked to all of my comments here where I discuss such issues. My Comments section is open to all.
For some strange reason I don’t think I’ll be seeing any new faces, or hearing and fresh ideas.
Talk vs. Walk.

I’ll restate the fact that while I’m 110% liberal – I am also 150% 2nd Amendment Absolutist.
Everyone should be able to own all the hand-made guns, pikes and swords that they want. Just as the founding fathers envisioned. Period.
You can have my arquebus when you pry it from my cold dead hand.
My response is here:

Something tells me Jason330 doesn’t mean what he says.

I was going to make a nice long post calmly refuting your points nemski. However, that wouldn’t do any good, would it? You can sneer all you want at the ‘radical right’ and stick your nose in the air as the tragic violence against innocents only ‘proves your perfect and irrefutable knowledge of the world’.
Actually. You’ve given me a good idea. We always fight over the petty parts of the issues. Guns, abortion, drugs… I want to see if I can spend just 10% of the time I’d usually use to argue about these things, and instead put that time and energy into helping fight against root causes. In the end, guns are just tools, abortion is just a medical process, and drugs are just chemicals. Its the Why. I want to attack directly.
Senseless violence is unnecessary and unwelcome.
Yeah, that entire ‘2nd amendment only applies to flintlocks, and muzzleloaders’ crap doesn’t float very well. That opens the door to your modern telecommunications applied first amendment rights going directly down the toilet. Is it worth it?
Technically speaking… The 2nd amendment also applies to cannons, explosives, and warships. I think the 2nd amendment supporters have given plenty of ground in the past. You guys cry and whine and bitch every time anyone threatens the ‘freedom of speech’.
There’s a lot of shit I don’t like. I don’t like NeoNazis. But I respect their right to freedom of speech. I don’t care much for abortion, but I respect that its a woman’s body, and not mine. I really hate taxes, but I respect the fact that the government is necessary(maybe not necessary for it to be so large but that is for another time).
Roadkill,
You had me and then you lost me. I thought for a second you were going to talk about root causation.

I’m all about freedom. Everyone can build their own custom 1911’s from scratch till the cows come home, just as the founding fathers envisiond.
Gun control means hitting what you are aiming at with guns that were not mass produced!!!
I think we’ve found a lot of common ground here.
oop. I didn’t delete some stuff I’d put on there. Senseless and down was supposed to be deleted. Sorry about that.
In the end, guns are just tools, abortion is just a medical process, and drugs are just chemicals. Its the Why. I want to attack directly.
OK roadkill… go find me a gun-loving conservative who also wants to spend whatever it takes to solve social problems in inner cities, or wherever else they occur.
I never hear that though… somehow, the Second Amendment support always seems to be linked to an “I got mine, screw everybody else” platform.
“go find me a gun-loving conservative who also wants to spend whatever it takes to solve social problems in inner cities, or wherever else they occur.”
That would be all of them. Of course that doesn’t mean “turning them into Marxist Utopias”.
Legions of uneducated welfare slaves seems to be your “Solution”, and given that the left has controlled the major cities for several generations now…it’ll kick in any day now I’m sure.
“I’m all about freedom. Everyone can build their own custom 1911’s from scratch till the cows come home, just as the founding fathers envisiond.
Gun control means hitting what you are aiming at with guns that were not mass produced!!!”
I think we can agree on that one, Jason.
This would be my first piece!

Why don’t you make a post on this, and we can all rally together on it!
