I snapped this picture with my phone yesterday while on RT13.  It’s a picture of the HUMMER Store out of business.  What you can’t see to the left is that TOYOTA is expanding and buying up more land to showcase their cars.

    I think Hummer is one of the brands being axed in the auto reorgs.

    I pass that place a lot. As it was being built GM announced that it was discontinuing the Hummer line.

    Didn’t they just move the Hummers a block or so up 13 to another dealership?

    I think it should be a community center. what a better use for something built for such an horrific waste of space. i have a very real very deep hatred for Hummer. the whole idea of America means “bigger and tougher” is just repugnant.
    Taking this monument to excess and waste, and turning it into something like a community center, or a library, or a school would be the prefect redemption for the building…. and i say leave the giant ugly “H” as a reminder of what can happen when we run our country like a penis contest.

    Do something with it fast before the Route 13 hookers turn it into their own playground… wait, does anyone have enough money for hookers anymore?

    Also, where is Paul Clark going to go for his upgraded Hummer?

    i hadn’t thought about that legalize prostitution, and turn it into a brothel. you could even keep the name Hummer on it.

    Hummer means “lobster” in German. I always got a giggle out of people driving around in lobsters.

    Ture story. Once at an old job, a sales guy bought a Hummer and someone dared him to climb a large dirt mound with it. As he reached the top of the hill, the Hummer flattened out at the top, perfectly balanced there until a tow truck came and pulled it off. There is poetry in that.
