Tom Carper (Hearts) Gibberish

Filed in National by on March 25, 2009

That is what Atrios and Ezra Klien conclude after reading this in today’s WaPo.

As moderate leaders, it is not our intent to water down the president’s agenda. We intend to strengthen and sustain it. Moderation is not a mathematical process of finding the center for its own sake. Practical solutions are practical because they offer our best chance to make a difference in people’s lives today without forcing our children to pick up the tab tomorrow.

Yeeeeeahhhhh….Okay.

Although, maybe Tom deserves a break. Having to explain why you are Democratic “a moderate” who wants to break with the Democratic President on his most important agenda items without coming flat out and saying that you vote as your donors tell you to vote must be kind of tough.

Come one, give the boy a break. Carper (and Castle) are just trying to bring the Delaware Way to DC. ๐Ÿ˜‰

BTW, I get it now. The Radical Right are to goat lovers as Moderates are to douchenozzles.

  2. Unstable Isotope says:

The beltway media also loves this gibberish, since they make a big deal out of supposed brave moderates out there fighting for all Americans. This just goes to show me how important it is the move the “middle” closer to the actual middle of U.S. opinion.

  3. delacrat says:

When they call themselves “moderates”, they’re calling you an extremist.

  4. Susan Regis Collins says:

Did I hear someone saying ‘The wind-up Tom, er, Ken doll recites the donor’s talking points’? UGH!!!!!

๐Ÿ˜‰ (We all know Tom, er, Ken has no peeny, right?)

I remember Nemsky endorsing McCain on his site. What a losser and a hypocrit!

The important part about the so called “Radical Right”/Evangelical Christians is that they are VERY Pro-Israel. That’s what matters at the end of the day!
