I don’t think he was “wishy-washy” on civil unions. I think the distraction was the “domestic partnership” term used several times at him in lieu of civil unions–he was discerning enough not to comment on syntax that hasn’t been defined in this state yet. Ease up gang….Remember, Maryland was the state of “trial marriage”.
So far, it is only Donviti that took wishy-washy from those comments. I am ready to chalk that up to a lack of coffee for him that morning.

They couldn’t use that term because I have copy rights. I suggested that we have “trail marriages” in the form of issuing marriage licenses that are only good for one year. If at the end of the year both parties want to renew their license for a permanent one “or” sign the back of the trail marriage licenses and have notarized marriage dissolved. Never did fly because Tyler Nixon lobbied against it citing that it would be unfair to his colleagues who rely on income to feed their families via legal representation of their clients in divorce court. You may have missed the legislation a few years ago. It was HB 1840 Kilroy’s Man Woman Act. Nixon was rewarded for his efforts and received excusive rights to all the slip and fall sidewalk lawsuits against Mayor James Baker.
Excuse me, it wasn’t “wishy-washy.” The correct term was he was “squishy.” We gotta get our criticism/commentary right if we are going to be the official lickspittles from here-on-out!

LOL ! yep, I ambled through life picking up three wives giving them each a trial before settling down. I guess Lillian won’t get me a trail job at DOE! I’ll keep on working on my grammar and who knows someday I might get morebetter at it. LOL. You know I am disfictional ! Disfictional means a person that’s not taking for real!
