Late Nite Oddity
This is not a parody, but an actual workplace safety video. I couldn’t watch the whole thing because (even though the effects don’t rise to the level of a B film) it was relentless gory.

I stopped in the middle of it too. I’m afraid I’ll have nightmares thinking about some of those scenes.
We’re still getting over the shock of the earthquake that hit central Italy; I live about 30 miles away.
Mikeb,
Thanks for checking in. I hope everyone made it through alright. I’ve been thinking about a post about how the rest of the world simply does nt exist to the American media.
So some ex-pat Italy blogging would be much welcomed. Feel free to drop links to your blog here to give us the view from your side of the Atlantic.
I can’t tell you how many safety videos I’ve watched in my time. I find this one fairly ineffective because it’s silly and because they weren’t really discussing real-life scenarios. It was pretty much just “work scary.”
Someone posted this video on FB. It’s a German forklift safety video. It’s filled with cartoonish gore. It’s like the Evil Dead of safety videos.
I sort of thought it was a remake of nightmare on Elm Street
Jason, Thanks for the welcome and the invitation.
It would be a bit off topic, except for that idea of remembering something with a shudder. That’s what the video gave me that reminded me of our recent earthquake.
