Is Glen Beck the one who splits the GOP? The last time I saw a clip of Shep Smith, he was ridiculing Beck. The feud of the anti-Muslim RW bloggers also seems to fall along the likes/hates Beck line. Interesting.
I think for some on the right, Beck is that perfect combination of borg-conservative politics and fanatical christianity.
So yeah, I agree. Beck is the current line of demarcation between greedy old schoolers, who are sane but evil, and the loonies….

Why does it surprise you DV? After the blatant lying to go to war in Iraq why would anything surprise you? Sometimes I’m surprised by how much the administration would conform to my worst fears about what they were up to. I’m just waiting for them to unearth a memo justifying canceling elections to protect us or something, the fear I had in my wildest paranoid fantasies.

Actually I have seen Shep Smith really speak his mind a great deal over the last year plus. It hasn’t been a slow process at all. He has never fit the Faux News box at all.
I’m told that Shep Smith often doesn’t partake of the Fox Kool-Aid. Smith will pursue subjects the way he wants to, or he will do stuff like the Glen Beck ridicule he did some weeks back. Smith was really mad in this clip and good for him.
