In Laurel Hartstein cleans up.

In Seaford, Kimpton wins.

From the Kent County website about school board elections:

    Ballots & Candadates

    Ugh.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

In Christina, it looks like John Young and Elizabeth Scheinberg have won. I am noticing a trend: get profiled on DL, win elections (unless of course both opposing candidates are profiled, like in Brandywine).

  3. liberalgeek says:

    Thanks, Mis.

Full results are being emailed to me.

……and in Indian River Charles Bireley wins again and defends our right to pray!

  5. Thanks to all who voted. I am humbled by your trust.

    John Young

    Disappointing

    Lewis Beats Mike Miller

This is what I get for not paying attention outside of my own distict. Is that the same Mike Miller who has made Protackian history out of running for US House?

  7. M.Opaliski says:

Same Miller, indeed, the same …

  8. Informed voters make better voters. Congrats to those at DL who worked so hard to keep voters informed, and thanks to all the candidates who took the time to share their views on education here.

  9. DD just couldn’t resist glomming glory onto himself and DL in comment #3. UNREAL.

Yes, it is a great service to have had done the yeoman’s work here but to call the elections based on it…..is DD through and through. The rest of the Blogosphere’s work, links, blog posts, writing didn’t do diddly. Riiiiiight.

    Dear DL,

One year ago I whaled on you guys for not doing one thing about highlighting in my view, the most germain, grassroot, bastians of community input via the polls left in our state.

This year, you guys were on it–and with lead time! Geez, talk about taking criticism constructively! Thank you for watching the really local folk–and the communities where it all starts. Your spearheading the coverage of what local districts you could, furthers the view that all elections are important, because to some child, you will be deciding their future. Thank you for taking the time–because like you–that is what school board members give also. Your coverage validated that concept.
May your end result of election outcome, be just what you wanted, and more importantly what the districts needed. And I hope to read all about it next year here, to correct, retool, add-on, or scrap whoever presents for this entrusted local community position once again.
Thanks again DL for rising to the occasion–and leaving Miss California alone for a couple of days!!

  11. Meyer Persow says:

Thank you to everyone at DL for your support and encouragement. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be this time. But now I’m free to return to my blog, and the right-wing needs to look out.

If you ever saw the movie “Tora, Tora, Tora,” Admiral Yamamoto says after he gets the news of the attack on Pearl Harbor “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant.” To my friends on the right, you have awakened this sleeping giant.

Again, thank you all, especially Cassandra.

Why aren’t the Cape results listed by the Dept of elections?

  13. Maria Evans says:

They’re here, and they’re still “unofficial,” which could be because a voting machine was down in Milton:

  14. Bill Dunn says:

In Red Clay, as far as I’m concerned, this was a public SMACKDOWN of Irwin Becnel and Bob A..
They have historically been amongst a group of involved Republicans that have run very stealthy campaigns for “their” lapdog candidates and for last two years have lost these races MISERABLY!!!
Bob A. is retiring the end of June. Hopefully, Bec will show that he has some semblance of character and graciously step aside. (If I were of a character that I think Bec has related with over time, I’d wish him to stay and wallow in his dissatisfaction of the District’s new direction and dismantling of his 20+ year effort.)
If they should happen to read this, may I just say, Good Health Gentlemen, Good Health.
