“Is this wrong? Because I wouldn’t have done it if I was told it was”

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Two seasonal Yellowstone National Park concession workers have been fired after a live webcam caught them urinating into the Old Faithful geyser.

Park spokesman Al Nash says a 23-year-old man on Tuesday was fined $750 and placed on three years of unsupervised probation for urinating, being off trail in a restricted area and taking items from the area. The man also was banned from Yellowstone for two years.

All in all, it was probably worth it.

How many people can say they pissed in Old Faithful? Now that’s something to tell your grandchildren.

We drove for miles and miles to get to see Old Faithful–it was a big letdown. Not as impressive or BIG as one is led to believe. Other disappointment was Mt. Rushmore. Everyone in the car felt that the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota and the mystery of the Badlands far exceeded the “grandeur” of four faces in rock. Of course, we did not think to pee on any of this–that may have made a difference.

  7. I hated Mt. Rushmore and loved the Badlands, too, Jen. Mt. Rushmore was faces carved in rock – I just didn’t see the big deal.
