Evening Open Thread

Here’s a couple of topics to get started with:

  • Representative Alan Grayson proves to be one of the most interesting House Members — he has introduced a bill to make paid vacation from work a requirement.
  • Banks use Life Insurance (on their employees, without their permission mostly) to Fund Bonuses.

  1. Lose my GPS? Noooooo!

  2. Major LOL. One of my Twitter contacts sent these links to Amazon reviews of overpriced products.

    $500 cable
    $78 gallon of milk

    Read the 5-star reviews.

  3. “Banks use Life Insurance (on their employees, without their permission mostly) to Fund Bonuses. ”

I can top that one. After 9/11 my airline took $45 million from the government money each airline got because of the 4 day shut down. The $45 million came from taxpayers but was used to guarantee the pensions of senior executives while at the same time asking pilots to take massive pay cuts and abrogate all pensions.

I hope the UAW does better.
