R. I. P. Koko Taylor-Queen of the Blues

The unchallenged Queen of the Blues, Koko Taylor, has passed away at the age of 80.

A blues shouter, and one of the preeminent Chicago blues greats, Taylor headlined the 2008 Riverfront Blues Fest in Wilmington. Here she is performing her signature song, “Wang Dang Doodle”, which was written by Willie Dixon, who accompanies Koko on bass and vocals here:
