Was St. Anthony’s Festival move to charge folks to get in a bad move?

In a bad mood, you mean?

I think that the $5 charge was to screen out the folks who just wanted to come for some foolishness. That is what I heard anyway. No idea if this works.

You should at least get a drink ticket for your $5. Sorry, but I don’t want fried smelts enough to pay a surcharge.

The way I hear it around the neighborhood the monies are divided: festival money for the schools and the surcharge for the Diocese for the pedophile fund. Heard that again at the Little Italy Neighorhood Assoc. meeting.

I tend to agree w/Cassandra it was a move to keep out the excess riffraff. It seems to be working…it’s a lot quieter a lot earlier around here.

It cleaned up the riff raff…

Last year there were no incidents inside the fence.
And outside the problems were also greatly reduced.

I recommend the Pizza Fritte, the panzerotti’s and the specialty sandwiches.

There are enough bands to satisfy every taste.
