It was a simple post. So simple that it flummoxed our wingnut readership.
Honest Question
I need to figure out which of our newer talk-radio drunk fools, liars, and Republican party functionaries are worth paying attention to. So it would help me out if you guys could please write a brief (3 – 4 sentence max) response to this question:
Was George W. Bush a good President?
While the results are in and our new wingnuts (as well as most of our old wingnuts save JC and RSMitty) failed miserably I do have hope that there are some honest/smart Republicans alive still in this country.
I don’t know where that are and they certainly don’t read this blog, but as the next election seasons breaks over the horizon Republicans will be forced to come up with some kind of positive vision that embraces reality or give up on trying to win elections. I suspect there will be at least a few interested in trying to win.
I think Republicans are forgetting why Reagan won. Reagan was called the “Great Communicator” for his ability to sell the Republican agenda as future-looking and optimistic. Right now, Republicans are going with fear, fear, fear, loathing, fear.
Excellent exceptions there. Sorry I missed the apparent piling-on of the other thread. Weekends and blogging don’t make a great combination for me with the youngin’s around the house.
“I think Republicans are forgetting why Reagan won….”
Having Carter and Mondale as opponents didn’t hurt.
