Tick, tick, tick…
So I’m reading Kavips and I’m stopped cold by this sentence.
The average global life expectancy is now 70 years. At 365.25 days per year, that amounts to 25,567 days.
After a quick calculation I worked out that I’ve spent 15,490 of my 25,567 already. That’s 60%…gone gone gone. A measly 10,077 to go.
Of course nobody is guaranteed another ten days let alone 10,000, but still…
That was global Jason, we have you a few more years if you get U.S. male specific. Relax, but lay off the bacon.
Cutting down on the blogging might be a good health choice.
On second thought, nah.

This is depressing. It means that I’m really middle-aged.
No one knows when they are middle-aged.
So, it’s Monday morning, and we kick things off with DV laughing his a– off over altzheimer’s disease, and then Jason, who is so much younger than me, worrying about middle age.
I think I’ll go back to bed.
Life expectancy in the US is in the low to mid 80’s, isn’t it?
You can add at least 3650 to that number.
Then again if you get Alzheimers it will feel like 10,001 over and over 3649 times.
Thanks Brian. I’m not middle-aged anymore. w00t!
A couple days ago I read about a study that concluded that mental “old age” starts at 27. Meaning your ability to process new information begins to slow. Interrestingly enough, It said there is no affect in recalling remembered information before 27. I guess thats why people in their 70’s always talk about when they were young. Its just what they can remember best.
