Who Said This?
“I don’t understand why Letterman would say that about a young woman… They deserve some kind of protection from being the butt of late-night hosts.”
Could it be the same man who said this…
“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father.”
Know what I say? H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E.
Republican victimology strikes again. It seems like they’ve all forgotten Rush’s “jokes” about Chelsea Clinton and McCain’s “joke” about Chelsea and Hillary Clinton and Janet Reno.
I decry all misogynistic jokes, especially ones about teenage girls. I don’t think the joke was particularly better if it was about the older daughter.
Come on now!!!!
You know everything’s on the table when you have to suck up to political donors!
And what happened last week after the faux outrage?
Letterman topped Conan for the first time….
Suck. On. That….
Hey, that reminds me of a joke (oldie but goodie)…
When you’re in a hospital, how can you tell which nurse is the head nurse?
Easy, it’s the nurse with dirt on their knees!
….all apologies to UI! LOL! Hey – there’s plenty of male nurses these days! 😉
All I know is that “Fuck Texas!” has captured the hearts of the voters.
You can’t call for civility or civil discourse if you aren’t interested in following your own rules. And civility also means not requiring people to pretend that your BS is Objective Truth.
Bottom line: McCain is an asshole and so is Lettermen, that s the inescapable conclusion of your post and I AGREE, BOTH are classless on this issue.
Agreed, anon.
Chris Cuomo, ABC News: A little surprising for you to hear the Democrats saying, “This came out of nowhere, this is all about the Republicans. We had nothing to do with this.” Nancy Pelosi saying it. She signed the ’99 Gramm Bill. She knew what was going on with the SEC. They’re all sophisticated people. Is that playing politics in this situation?
And the question is, who gave this reply?
Well, maybe everybody does that a little bit. I think the responsibility the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
That was none other than Bill Clinton. So this whole mess is all republicans doing? Eh, Democrats are just as much to blame.
