Verbatim grab from MyDD

From an interview with CNBC yesterday:

In another interview yesterday, Harwood told the president that “media critics would say not only has it not come, but that you have gotten such favorable press — either because of bias or because you’re good box office — that it’s hurting the country, because you’re not being sufficiently held accountable for your policies.”

The president said “it’s very hard for me to swallow that one. First of all, I’ve got one television station entirely devoted to attacking my administration.”

“I assume you’re talking about Fox,” Harwood said.

“Well, that’s a pretty big megaphone,” the president said. “And you’d be hard-pressed, if you watched the entire day, to find a positive story about me on that front.”

Fox News is, of course, not news. We know it, and the president knows it.

  1. It is hard to believe what a crybaby the President is. Again, he did not answer the question but dodged with a complaint and accusation.

The four rules of being a liberal when you get challenged.

    1. Look incredulous

    2. Deny the accusation

    3. Make up counter charges

    4. If all else fails claim victim status.

The leaders of Russia, Iran, France, N Korea , Iraq etc are shaking their heads or laughing their butts off.

The wheels are coming off slowly but surely.

the “leader” of Iraq? I mean I know you want to nuke Russia, France, Iran, and N korea, (i was surprised not to see China on your hit list), but is the GOP already planning to invade and overthrow the Iraqi government again? wowza! PALIN ’12!!!!!

  3. David says:

Fox News is about the only one that really covers the news. The rest aren’t worth a bucket of spit.

  6. Rebecca says:

I saw or read an interview where Obama said that cable news is like pro-wrestling. It isn’t real but it is entertaining to some segment of the populace.

There are some poor doobie-doos who think pro-wrestling is real and I guess they believe Fox too.

One station is willling to expose this fraud for just what he is. It wont be enough, but it is a start.

“Well, that’s a pretty big megaphone,” the president said. ”And you’d be hard-pressed, if you watched the entire day, to find a positive story about me on that front.”

Could that be because there really is nothing positive to say about our new president?

  9. jason330 says:

    Yeah. That’s it. (rolls eyes)

  10. farsider says:

He has united us. Now all of us are hoping for a change.

  11. G Rex says:

Oooh, mean old Fox News isn’t sticking to the “Everyone loves me” script. Waaaaah! Dude, man up already.

  12. Von Cracker says:

G Rex – your perspective is a little wacky.

He WAS responding to a question posed to him; it’s not like he just offered it up….

  13. cassandra_m says:

And really, it was an assessment of the status quo — FOX is a network that exists utterly to bash Democrats and work overtime to try to make repubs look good. And there is a reason why only the usual credulous Rs find whatever FOX says to be gospel.
