Comment Correction – I have no proof Nancy is on KWS’s payroll. In any event, KWS needs to call her out for her comments.

DG, Nancy and I went at it last year over that horrible PSA business and she hasn’t recovered from that bit of pwnage yet. I don’t comment (or read much) over at DWA or at Nancy’s blog. (Largely to avoid the appearance of dragging arguments all over the blogosphere.)
But that won’t stop Nancy and those like her — needing a good dose of conspiracy theory to explain the failures and weaknesses of their friends. It is our fault, you know, that we even noticed some of the shenanigans KWS. The fact that this office is giving aid and comfort to insurance companies in the form of relaxed reserving — a practice that does put policy owners at some increased risk just when they least can tolerate it — is something we should not have noticed. We also should not have noticed the blatant bit of incompetence and Delaware Way-ism on display with that RFP that we still have no idea what was being procured. And, in going for the style points, she wraps up the gay community into the conspiracy theory. It is all our fault that KWS has all of these issues.
The conspiracies don’t just stop with her friends tho — the Chris Coons saga is just as baroque. But you better believe that if we were criticizing Coons for something or another she’d think we were the most astute bloggers on the planet.
That comment was just foul and completely without fact. But we already knew that.
BTW Cassandra, I know you are than capable at defending yourself if need be.
Oh, I know — but DV would certainly be way more entertaining!

Cassandra is more than capable of defending herself, but I still feel the need to call out Nancy’s disgusting behavior toward my friend. Reading those comments turned my stomach and revealed a lot about Ms. Willing’s character – or rather lack of character.

When I read stuff like that, I use it as a reminder to always take a breath, and maybe a walk, before I hit enter.

Nancy Willing has revealed herself to be bigot and/or mentally unstable. It would have no more vile and disgusting if she had used the “n” word to describe an African American politician.
We did the right thing in preventing her filth from staining the comment pages at DL.
This week Matt Denn laid out his legislative agenda for children, and it contained two pieces of insurance legislation….
I’m curious about how much influence, if any, KWS had in shaping that legislation.

Maria, I doubt KWS had anything to do with it. Denn is well aware of her lack of qualifications and other shortcomings. He publicized them before the 2004 election, which is why she lost and Denn was elected commissioner. Obviously the voters forgot about that in 2008. And if she’d participated, she would have bragged about it on the department’s web site like she does about everything else, although that’s other peoples’ work every time.
Seems that Nancy is trying to cover her ass – she has deleted her homophobic, racist comments from her blog. Note to Nancy – we have it here and I’m sure it’s mirrored somewhere else.
Actually, Mike took them down because they so angered him. I’m down with that.
Those comments were at DownWithAbsolutes and Mike put them in moderation, here is his comment about it:
“You have so thoroughly flustered me that I’ve put two of your most vile comments into moderation. They’re rife with potentially libelous statements, misinformation, and sheer bullshittery that I feel I could not let them remain. Seriously, Nancy, clean your act up.”

MJ, don’t count on it. KWS is too indebted to Nancy for her support before, during, and after the campaign. Nancy has done too much for KWS for her to ditch her now. Just wait and see.
Nancy needs to apologize whether or not anyone would accept it. Utterly vile statement – was she drunk or something?
