The farmer’s markets and roadside stands now have local corn, which has to be one of the best things about summer. Just in case you need some inspiration for cooking that corn, next time you are gilling, perhaps Bacon-Wrapped Corn will do the trick. This isn’t an especially outrageous use of bacon — but is certainly a good excuse for including for bacon for dinner! And if you aren’t taking advantage of the local farm stands and farmer’s markets you are missing a great opportunity. Real tomatos, local squashes and local fresh-picked fruit are all on hand here. Many grown with a minimum of chemicals, too. Plus you can probably wrap all of it in bacon to put on the grill!
For those of you allergic to veggies, perhaps you’d be happier with Bacon-Wrapped Corn Dogs. If you do this, let us know how this turns out — I’ll never know what is appealing about a Corn Dog.
