Drinking Liberally – Sussex Edition
It’s finally arrived. Drinking Liberally comes to Sussex County – and I’m hoping (given all the comments in the past regarding location) there will be a big turn-out!
When: Thursday, July 30th
Where: The Purple Parrot, 247 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE. We will meet on the patio.
Time: 7:00 p.m.
And just for fun… Anybody who shows up with their birth certificate – or a photo copy, or a hastily forged version of a birth certificate – in a baggie gets entered into a drawing for a case of Twin Lakes Brewery beer! The drawing will be held at the Twin Lakes event in August.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Looking forward to welcoming everyone down to Rehoboth.
Awesome. Everyone raise the little flag and baggie containing the birth certificate in one hand and a drink in the other.
Great idea! I plan to attend.
Finally. We were beginning to think you all thought of us as country inbred shoeless falseteeth wearing grit-licking hicks with political opinions commonly found on supremecist web sites.
So, Dave… we’ll see you there? 🙂
Hmm…Pandora, will you be checking the state-of-origin of these people at the door? I’m concerned they will film you being confronted about Tea Parties or something.
I hadn’t considered that, Smitty!
Actually, I think I will be.
Just a note to all thinking of coming. The State “DUI Strike Force” has announced they are going to do some serious ass kicking between now and October 1. Trust me; they mean it. Make sure to use designated drivers, especially in the beach areas.
I think you all should just bring coolers onto the Jolly Trolly and take round trips until the meeting is done.
That’s the same date and time as the Sussex League of Women Voter’s forum for the 19th Senate District candidates, the one where Polly Adams is only showing up for a closing statement…
Bet we’ll run later, Maria! Please join us after the debate.
Hmmm – Polly or Drinking Liberally. Drinking wins.
I’ll try to be there!!! If you don’t want to go to the debate-where-polly-won’t-be – just come to the Iguana Grill in Milton, she will be there for one of her “friend-raisers” (I think I just spit up a little in my mouth just typing that word)
Will the “Pledge” be recited also?
If people can’t confirm that they are lawfully in the US, will we administer the citizenship test?
Funny comments. No, really. Hope to meet some of you there. Thursday is a long work day for me, but the parrot meeting is a good incentive if I am still standing…
The side patio of the parrot is very popular, so you have been warned.
