Does Carper Duck The Question? Let’s go to the tape.
Here are the questions. View the tape an let me know in the comments section if Carper’s responses pass the smell test.
MSNBC GUY: Why shouldn’t people believe that your (health care reform vote) has been influenced by the money you’ve gotten from Insurance companies?
MSNBC Guy: But Senator you are under a lot of pressure, would you acknowledge, from the Insurance companies with all the money they’ve given you?

He states that he would be willing to have a public option as a fall-back measure. He also seems to believe that a bill that contains a public option won’t pass.
I believe that Senator Carper believes these things.
But he also says that the people of Delaware can convince him otherwise.

Senator Carper’s Wilmington office is: 302-573-6291
Tell Senator Carper that Healthcare Reform without a Public Option is no reform at all! He’s a big fan of the FREE MARKET. We want a truly FREE MARKET that gives us a Public Option. The current healthcare market is NOT free. It has a built-in conflict of interest for the drug companies, insurance companies, and yes, even the caregivers. Without a Public Option the American people will continue to be at the mercy of this broken system.
Tune to MSNBC tonight to hear Howard Dean as substitute host for Keith Olbermann at 8:00PM. Dr Dean will tell it like it is.
CALL SENATOR CARPER: 302-573-6291
Thank you Rebecca. Call Carper. Organizing for America also has a tool called “Tweet Your Senator.”
That fallback public option measure, BTW, is the public option with “triggers,” practically useless.
Is Tom Carper a Crook?
No , everything he has done so far in perfectly legal. There is no law against voting with the “Money”. He is wrong on Energy, Health care and the Banks. If he would only change his party we would know what we are voting for.
Rebecca why dont you run against him, I would work my heart out for you.Your are perfectly capable.
We do not yet have finance reform, but we do have DISCLOSURE. Hard to find but it is on his website in more detail.

Any questions?
Frieda,
In the clip Carper claims that he pays more attention to the little people who call his office than he does to the guys who write the big checks.
I know, I know…hilarious.
Yah I would be bending over with laughter if it were not so sad.
Thanks for the kind words Frieda. It’s not going to happen. I don’t have your stamina and I sure don’t have what it would take to mount a state-wide campaign. Few people do. I’ve watched others tilting at windmills and I have learned from their experiences. Ya don’t just wake up one morning and think “I’d like to be a US Senator” and then commence to campaign. The office is high and the hurdles to get there are equally high.
Still, I treasure your support.
My stamina, Ha !! I am like the Ant with the proverbial rubber tree plant…
LOL but now I have gotten too old darnit !
