Paul Stanley, Tennessee State Senator, Quits After Affair With 22-Year-Old Intern

…he also sponsored failed measures to ban gay couples from adopting children. He also spoke out against funding for Planned Parenthood because

he said unmarried people should not have sex

.

“Whatever I stood for and advocated, I still believe to be true,” he said during an interview Tuesday with Memphis radio station WREC-AM. “And just because I fell far short of what God’s standard was for me and my wife, doesn’t mean that that standard is reduced in the least bit.”

Even better quote at the end there. God would be proud of him? Yep, so proud. Just because I can’t meet my own standards, doesn’t mean I can’t hold others to them! Isn’t God prouder of humbled people?

  1. he said unmarried people should not have sex

Well, technically, he is married. I guess that means having sex with his intern was o.k. for him, but not for her.

I wonder what Stanley said about Bill Clinton’s affair?

This could not be any more classic…

“And just because I fell far short of what God’s standard was for me and my wife, doesn’t mean that that standard is reduced in the least bit.”

  3. Are you saying that cheating on your spouse is OK because this guy (among others) did it?

  4. Right up there with John Conyers saying why read the bill.
