Great Moments In Media Punditry
As Atrios says, TEH STUPID, IT BURNS!
Maria Bartiromo tries to do a gotcha moment on Rep. Anthony Weiner – asking Rep. Weiner (who is in his 40s) if Medicare is so great why isn’t he on it?

Keep in mind that this woman is supposed to be a noted financial reporter.
But she is a reporter on the CNBC clownshow.
I wonder if she was confusing Medicare with Medicaid.
It’s probably not something she thinks about often. When you are as rich as Maria, it all just sounds like welfare to you.
That might be true. Even then Medicaid is means tested (I think!) — I think that if you could just choose to buy into Medicaid I’m not sure we’d be having the current health insurance issues.
I think what got mixed up in her cute little head was the canned line the righties throw at Congresspeople about the public option. They say, “If you vote for this, will you promise to enroll in it.” I really do feel for them. It’s got to be hard to keep that much nonsense straight in your head and pull out the right bit of crazy at the right time.
a rational person would understand that she is asking why isn’t the Comngressional House Plan the same as / equal to Medicare…
not much chance of that happening here
A rational person would understand that Bartiromo is paid alot of money to know how to make herself clear.
And there is already a provision in the HELP bill for all Congresspeople to use this system.
A rational person would conclude that Bartiromo doesn’t know what the F she’s talking about. The Congresscritter is 44 years old.
that should read The Congressional Health Insurance Plan…
coffee first, then thype
Hey, tits for brains!
Stick to fudging spreadsheats!
I try not to read minds and stick to what’s actually said. Bartiromo is paid a lot of money to talk on TV and this is what came out of her mouth.
“When you are as rich as Maria, it all just sounds like welfare to you.”
remember, ‘corporate welfare=good, individual welfare=bad’
