I’ll throw out another conversation starter – Birther Queen Orly Taitz is in the news again. This time she’s trying to stop another deployment (someone who got the U.S. government to pay for their medical school and now wants to get out of their commitment). Anyway, Taitz comes off as completely clueless, especially in this part:
In her final argument, Taitz asked Land why she had to prove a “Kenyan birth certificate” she submitted as evidence was authentic, yet her opponents didn’t have to prove Obama had an authentic United States birth certificate.
“Who has the burden of establishing that the president of the United States is not eligible to serve in his office?” Land asked Taitz.
The judge then pointed out that burden fell on Rhodes because she sought the restraining order to stop her deployment.
I can’t believe this woman managed to pass the bar exam in California without understanding the simple concepts of law. I’ve never been to law school and even I understand “burden of proof.” What a loon.

The silly claims of this scenario aside, I thought that in CIVIL law, the accused, or the defendant, was saddled with the burden of proof, not the plaintiff. It’s one of the differences in criminal law, where the burden of proof lays on the Prosecution.
Now, in Rhodes’ case, I am guessing the difference here is that she needs to prove why a restraining order is necessary, therefore, it’s not technically a civil-law matter at that point??? Anyone, help?
The poor doctor needs to get out of the military so that he will be able to get into private practice before Obamacare kills his profession and his Grandmother.
Dear God. Next she’ll be trying to get people out of honoring their PBS pledges after they get their tote bags. “I have not yet seen an authentic deed stating Oscar actually owns that garbage can, therefore, it’s all a fraud!”
On another note, part of me hopes someone figures out what the crappiest doctor position in the Army is (maybe something in Africa for poetic justice) and reserves a spot for this darling.
looks like the right wing wackos found an honest Acorn office:

What a laugh! How can you “libs” vote that 100 innocent people being executed is aokay! Who ever voted for 100, your one step away from being a bagger yourselves. Unbelievable you never cease to amaze me.
Anon, you do realize that evil conservatives visit here and comment here often. 13 of them voted in that poll, not liberals. And while some liberals do support the death penalty, they do not support killing innocent people.
Only conservatives support that.
