Which Religion Is This?

I’m glad that Republicans are treating the health care debate with the seriousness that it deserves:

Republicans have vowed to fight the legislation at every turn, saying it represents a dangerous expansion in the role of government that would increase taxes and insurance costs for millions of people. “It’s going to be a holy war,” said Senator Orrin G. Hatch, Republican of Utah.

You have to wait until the count of three to throw the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

I wouldn’t mess with him. Mormons actually do know a thing or two about insurrections and armed uprisings.

What the republicans don,t tell you is under our present system taxes and insurance costs will rise for all of us, between medicare, medicade, the VA, and government employees we already pay for 49% of health care with taxes anyway. And since health care costs rise every year at 3 to 4 times the rate of inflation every year insurance will become less affordable and more employers will drop coverage making the whole cycle accelerate. The republicans get to knock refore without offering any alternatives of their own to fix this mess.
