The GOP Abandons Rhode Island

Rhode Island is gearing up for a governor’s race in 2010. And this is one election result I can predict with certainty, the Republicans will not win this race . . . you can take that to the bank. Political Wire reports that the sole GOP candidate for governor has dropped out of the race. Ha! How’s that 50 State Strategy working out for ya Michael Steele?

    Chafee could be a strong candidate. He is still popular.

    Chafee would be a very strong candidate. But I had the impression listening to him on some NPR interview show it sounded to me like he was done with Republican Party politics for awhile. He was pretty well brutalized on all sides by these guys.
