We’re A Happy Bunch
Good news as 2009 winds down and we head into a brand new year, the citizens of the United States are in a good mood. Ken Huffman writes, “We are, as a country, remarkably happy.”
Last week’s AP-Gfk poll showed that 78 percent of Americans, when asked to “think about how things are going in your life in general,” said they are very happy or somewhat happy.
Approximately 22% are pissed off. Hmm, I wonder who they can be? BTW, in a separate poll, Delaware comes in at 22nd on the happiness meter.

what bs. The american people are in a trance. Wondering what 2009 will bring. Loss of job, home, loss of more civil rights, more wars, trillions being poured into the military industrial complex, a fake health care reform plan. Money for wars, but not for health care. Money for drones to kill more innocents and making our country less safe. The american people are wakening to a country that is not ours but belongs to corporate america. The new President on whom so many has based hope and trust to change the status quo, has proven is not about change but about the status quo. I asked my family and friends over the holidays, what they thought 2009 would bring. Everyone of the 30 or so people I had contact with were discouraged, hopeless and didnt know what to do or think about changing what is happening to us.
Lighten up, Francis.
