Rush Limbaugh, the satirical twit of right-wing hate, is threatening — strike that — promising to leave the United States if health care reform is passed and fully implemented in the next five years.
CALLER: If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself? And the second part of that is, what would happen to the doctors, do they have to participate in the federal program, or could they opt out of it? […]
LIMBAUGH: My guess in even in Canada and even in the UK, doctors have opted out. And once they’ve opted, they can’t see anybody Medicare, Medicaid, or what will become the exchanges. They have to have a clientele of private patients that will pay them a retainer and it’ll be a very small practice. I don’t know if that’s been outlawed in the Senate bill. I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.
Reports coming out of San José are saying that the Costa Rican government is already at work amending their constitution so that they can build an army to repel the conservative jester of demagoguery when he waddles onto their shores.

A banana republic has a national health care system, while we have 700+ overseas military bases.
Costa Rica Is FAR from a BANANA republic.When a popular uprising of the people led by a professor ousted the entrenched and corrupt puppets of BIG FRUIT[DOLE,CHIQUITA,etc.]the first thing he did when given power was to DISBAND his standing army.They are a shining example of TRUE democratic principles in action,even above and beyond ours,in our hemisphere!Because they have no expansionist ideology and are blessed with a peaceful populace they have no ARMY.The costs associated with paying for one are devoted to the social welfare of the people,i.e.health-care,argueably the best in the hemisphere too.Costa Rica is well known as the Switzerland of Central America.
