Biden and Brady

Filed in National by on May 11, 2010 14 Comments

Now that it appears Beau Biden is going to be fine after suffering a mild stroke yesterday, it is time to talk about the political ramifications of the Ammon Report on the Bradley case. You are saying to yourself right now that this case is not political, and no one should be playing politics with […]

The House has passed the Universal Recycling bill, 26 to 12, with 1 present but not voting and 2 absent. ‘Bulo will cover the meat of this tomorrow in his daily legislative roundup, specifically as to what amendments passed and were defeated, but I wanted to pass along the result and Governor’s statement, which is below:

God Wants Glenn Urquhart to Win

Filed in National by on May 11, 2010 18 Comments

I guess because his first name starts with the letter “G” too, or something. But Bill Colley speaking for God is not the story. The story is that WGMD talkshow host and blogger Bill Colley apparently is now a bought and paid for shill for the Glenn Urquhart campaign.

Delaware General Assembly Pre-Game Show Plus RANT: Tues., May 11, 2010

Filed in Delaware, National by on May 11, 2010 4 Comments

Not that it’s hard to do, but today I will demonstrate the sheer cravenness of politicians, especially, but not exclusively, legislators. J. L. Miller wrote an excellent article in yesterday’s News-Journal about the ‘one size fits all’ Scarlet Letter of the online sex offender registry, especially as it applies to minors. I have  previously written […]

CRI Needs Crash Course in Math

Filed in National by on May 11, 2010 7 Comments

Today, when CRI and its Republican friends in the General Assembly cite a new study that shows that SB 234 would cost too much and do too little to increase recycling, remember that the figures in the study are pure bullshit, and that the study itself was prepared only for the partisan purpose of killing the bill.
