wRong Williams is funny, not in the intentional stand-up comedian way, funny in a Gerry Ford-bumping-his-head-kind-of-way. For years Williams has lamented over the fact that bloggers have a little more leeway than newspapers in reporting rumors and such. He always fails to mention that many times, the blogging of rumors turn out to be truth.
So it surprised me — okay, no it didn’t — when I was reading Ron Williams’ most recent column, “At Legislative Hall, it looks like those swinging ’70s all over again”, how he resorted to gossip and rumor.
Flash back to the Delaware General Assembly circa the 1970s, when white belts, plaid sport jackets and leisure suits were the uniform of the day.The booze flowed freely, cigars and cigarettes were everywhere and there were, ah, rumors. Well, some of it was rumor, but most was not. There were things going on between legislators, staffers and just about anybody you could imagine.

Now word is trickling out from Dover that the sins of their forefathers have returned to Legislative Hall in a mind-spinning way.
